Current Projects
Mavericks - AutomatonOur next project at Automaton, I continued my role as Rigger and Animator.
My responsibilities included heading up rigging that's needed for the game. A big chunk of this was obviously character rigging and skinning. I spent a lot of my time in engine setting up the characters, I'd also spend a fair bit of time setting up things needed for animation in engine. Mavericks was meant to be an open world shooter built using CryEngine and SpatialOS. Unfortunately, in July 2019, Automaton went into administration and so Mavericks development ceased and the game never left alpha. |

Deceit - AutomatonOur first game is now on Steam!
My responsibilities on this project have been all character rigging, as well as working with another Animator producing character animations. I also worked closely with our Character Artist to set up the current character pipeline from 3DS Max -> Maya -> CryEngine V. Deceit is an immersive, first-person, online multiplayer game in which a group of you have been captured by a Game Master. You're given one objective: Escape! However, it's never as simple as it sounds. One-third of the group has been infected with a virus and are secretly working against the rest of you, using opportunistic times when the lights go out to pick off individuals without giving themselves away. |
Past Projects
BFX - Team Tree HuggersI joined a team of four other Bournemouth University graduates for this year's BFX Competition over the summer. And we won best film for Dyslexia Action!!
BFX is a 7 week student competition, where we are tasked with creating a 30 second animation in response to a brief. We're mentored and then judged by industry experts and the charity, giving us a great exposure to practices within industry, the people and a chance to showcase our skills! This year, BFX had a charity focus, so videos were produced for Anthony Nolan and Dyslexia Action. We chose to do 'A Way Out of the Woods' by George Lawson, a brief for Dyslexia Action. Check out our proposal, final film and breakdown, and those of the other 7 teams on the BFX competition site! |

YouCanBook.meA couple months after finishing uni I was offered a part time contracting job working for this wonderful little company based in Bedford. YouCanBook.me is a great piece of software that helps you manage your bookings in a multitude of ways.
I've been working making help and explainer videos for YCBM using Final Cut Pro. This has involved a huge learning curve into how YCBM works as well as understanding how to easily convey an idea to the customer. The graphics used in the videos have been produced by a creative agency called We Can Creative. To the left is a Getting Started video for setting up bookings for Parent/Teacher conferences. I finished this recently and it's now up on the company's YouTube channel. |
Fall of GrayskullSince somewhere around October 2014, I've been helping out with a Kickstarted fan film based on the He-man franchise as an environment modeller! Pretty cool, right? It's no where near finished yet, so I'm not able to show much, but I can at least point you in the right direction to find out more.
I’m helping out by creating environments needed for the film! All the actors have/are being filmed on green screen and will later by comp-ed into my environment! Super cool! Plus, I’m learning constantly on this project. I’m not much of a modeller but I get to spend quite a bit of time working on my knowledge and skills in this area. Once the project’s done I’ll be able to post my work. If you want to check Fall of Grayskull out, and receive updates on progress and so on, you maybe wanna' check at least one of three places: |
